About the Artist

Growing up in extreme poverty, my childhood was defined by deep uncertainty and constant transition. I remember watching school children walk past as a child, accepting a discarded piece of candy just to have something to eat. Amidst these harsh realities, animals—particularly cats—were my solace. Yet, living in financial instability and unpredictable household dynamics meant that proper pet care was impossible. Pets frequently got sick, vanished, or were given away when resources ran dry.

Even as an adult, hardship followed me. I experienced periods of living out of vehicles and tents, struggling to meet basic human needs, let alone care for animals. But those quiet years taught me a profound truth: the bond between a person and their pet has nothing to do with wealth. Most people who surrender animals or struggle with stray populations love their pets deeply—they simply face systemic barriers, restrictive housing, and impossible choices between food and veterinary care.

When I finally achieved financial stability, my lived experience immediately drove my purpose. I began rescuing strays and funding medical care out of pocket. Today, my artistic practice serves as a direct extension of that lifelong journey.

Through my fine art, I capture the spirit, grace, and mystical presence of cats. My work is not only a celebration of feline souls, but a vehicle for change. A portion of every artwork sold goes toward supporting vulnerable pets and their caregivers—helping keep families together, funding medical care, and reducing the burden on overcrowded shelters. Every piece I create carries a message of compassion, resilience, and hope.
